Position: Middle School Technology Teacher

Position Overview
The Middle School Technology Teacher guides students in developing digital literacy, computational thinking, and responsible digital citizenship. They design engaging, project-based learning experiences that promote creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. Working in a multicultural environment, they foster an inclusive classroom where technology is used ethically and effectively. They support technology integration across subjects and prepare students for a rapidly evolving digital world. The teacher models adaptability, innovation, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons that promote bilingual academic excellence.
Create an inclusive, safe, and respectful classroom environment where all students feel valued.
Integrate IAS Core Values and character education into daily practice and classroom culture.
Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and provide meaningful feedback.
Support the development of learners who are reflective, responsible, community-centered, and collaborative.
Serve as an advisor/mentor, supporting students’ social-emotional growth and leadership skills.
Monitor academic and behavioral progress and collaborate on interventions when needed.
Participate actively in grade-level, subject-area, and school-wide teams and initiatives.

Family Support & Communication
Communicate regularly with families in a timely, accurate, and positive manner.
Build trusting relationships through transparency, respect, and a focus on student growth.
Partner with families to support academic needs, behavioral expectations, and character development.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and ongoing communication cycles.
Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and the IAS values when interacting with families.

Program Administration
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, learning evidence, and required documentation.
Follow IAS policies, practices, and reporting timelines consistently.
Supervise students during transitions, duties, and school events.
Support implementation of strategic initiatives aligned with IAS Mission and Vision.
Participate in accreditation processes, curriculum reviews, and school improvement efforts.
Maintain classroom materials and technology responsibly and efficiently.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

  • Valid teaching certification for middle school content areas.

  • Experience teaching middle school students, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.

  • Demonstrated experience with coding, robotics, digital media, or other relevant technologies.

  • Experience with bilingual, inquiry-based, or student-centered instructional practices.

  • Proven ability to integrate technology meaningfully into teaching and learning.

  • Experience designing project-based or inquiry-driven learning experiences.

  • Familiarity with technology integration across subject areas and current educational technology tools.


Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to design rigorous, differentiated instruction aligned with IAS learning standards.
